Abstract(E) | This paper proposes a new method for analyzing the impact performance of vehicle bodies in the early stages of design. The method is called Impact Statistical Energy Analysis (ISEA), which is based on the propagation of energy and considers the conversion of kinetic energy of the structure into internal energy in the deformed parts of the structure during a crash. The paper discusses the effectiveness of ISEA in comparison with damper mass models and FEM models for one- and two-member structures. |
