Abstract(E) | The part numbers of body structure are related to investment. but if the parts of body structure are reduced a lot, the entirely performance (body bending and torsion stiffness) can be expected as lower than the previous car. so the two factors are in a contradictory relationship. so this study presents how to reduce the structure parts by 37% while keeping the performance (bending/torsion stiffness and Front/Side crash) equal or higher than previous B-seg vehicle of body structure based on fundamental theory application to BIW structure. The main methods are to apply Gt(eff), stiffness index and section stiffness analysis. |
