Abstract(E) | The vehicle architectures for SUV and LD-BEVs come with higher performance requirements, which can no longer be supported by single speed architecture A highly efficient 2speed e-Axle featuring single dry-clutch transmission and utilizing high-speed E-machine is the right answer to fulfill future needs for this segment By increasing the maximum E-machine speed enables potential for further size reduction. Highly efficient cooling concepts are the key to fulfill the customer expectation on high efficiency and performance repeatability New simulation methods are required to obtain an optimized overall efficiency, NVH, thermal behavior and durability already in early stage of the e-Axle development |
