Translation |
Abstract(E) | Automobile mufflers become compact by installing perforated pipes inside them. However, as the engine power increases, the exhaust velocity in the muffler increases, and thus high frequency noises called “Whistle noise” generate under specific operating conditions. We simulated the inside of the muffler with a perforated pipe and two plates and investigated the mode distribution with the whistle noise. |
