Translation |
Abstract(E) | Cushion springs for motorcycles have a relatively high mass ratio in the whole vehicle, and weight reduction, and its weight reduction directly contributes to enhanced maneuverability. For this reason, expensive titanium springs have been used to some competition models. In this study, the wire diameter was reduced using steel material with enhanced fatigue strength by means of stress shot peening. As a result, we developed a steel spring with the same mass as titanium and applied it to a mass production model. |
