Abstract(E) | ENSEMBLE is a large European project about multi-brand truck platooning. It is the ambition of ENSEMBLE to realize pre-standards for interoperability between trucks and platoons. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the main project achievements. After introducing the project, the paper will discuss the defined platoon levels: Platooning Support Function (PSF) and Platooning Autonomous Function (PAF). The PSF has been implemented and demonstrated in a 7-brand platoon. The paper will address the specifications, design and implementation of the PSF and discuss the realized multi-brand V2V communication protocol. |
