Abstract(E) | The development process for realizing safe autonomous driving system is reviewed with an emphasis on the importance of the validation of the design specifications. The original framework for validation and verification(V&V) of the autonomous driving system is introduced, which offers four different V&V schemes depending on the development phase, distinguished by the test traffic environment is virtual or real, and the human drivers participate in the control loop(driver-in-the loop) or not(driver-out-of-the-loop). The application of the framework to the development of auto-drive system of the personal mobility is presented, which is an ongoing our project. |
