Abstract(J)SIエンジン熱効率向上のため,ノック制御・冷却損失低減手法として筒内水噴射は有効な手段であり,超希薄燃焼と組み合わせることで52%を超える図示熱効率を実現できる.しかし,燃料に対して約半分の水を噴射しており,可能な限り水の噴射量を減らしつつ冷却損失を低減する必要がある.本研究では急速圧縮膨張装置(RCEM)を用い,筒内水噴射が筒内圧力やピストンおよびヘッド側の壁面熱伝達におよぼす影響を調査した.

Translation

Abstract(E)Super-lean burn SI engine with in-cylinder water injection (WI) can realize over-50% thermal efficiency. In this study, the effect of WI on combustion and wall heat transfer at excess air ratio = 2 was investigated by using a rapid compression and expansion machine for optimization of WI strategy. The experiments show that ratio of integrated wall heat flux at the piston to head side decreases with retarding WI timing from before compression stroke to -102 deg.ATDC, indicating that the piston side is effectively cooled by WI. In addition, wall heat transfer characteristics was discussed based on Reynolds and Nusselt numbers.
