Abstract(E) | The first part of the publication discusses why renewably produced fuels must make theircontribution to the defossilization of the transportation sector. In the following chapter, fuels andtheir properties are shown that are of particular interest to the transport sector. In addition, anextensive study shows what contribution renewable fuels would have as a drop-in solution on theEuropean vehicle fleet, if they were available to an appropriate extent. Finally, the last chapter discusses the challenges associated with the use of various renewable fuelsin internal combustion engines. Initial approaches to solving them are also presented. |
