抄録(英) | One main focus within the topic of vehicle and road safety is the assessment of the level of criticality for different driving situations and accidents. By choosing certain relevant scenarios, these information help to further develop and assess the performance of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), highly automated driving functions (AD), or merely generally evaluate the criticality of different accident constellations. The new criticality approach is based on the variation of spatio-dynamical parameters and the assessment of the resulting changes in time-to-collision values for accidents as well as non-intersecting trajectories of normal driving situations. Thereby, the possible dynamic variation of one accident depends on the specific trajectories of the involved road users and further environmental parameters. Due to the application of homogenous criticality measures, this allows a comparison of criticality between different real driving manoeuvers or accidents. The results show, that certain accident constellations are more likely avoidable by changed speed, deceleration, or assumed spatio-temporal shifts than other constellations. By providing additional information on criticality next to driving situations and environmental features, these results allow a better estimation of ADAS- avoidance potential, the identification of application fields for ADAS with a high effect potential and the assessment of ADAS and AD in a future perspective. 翻訳 |
