抄録(英) | To mitigate cooling losses, it is necessary to investigate the heat transfer mechanisms on engine walls. The authors developed a thin-film resistance type sensor with MEMS technologies and measured wall heat flux in an engine. As a result, the MEMS sensor clearly detected the heat flux, and it was found that the heat flux varied widely for each cycle. In addition, advection velocity was estimated from the heat flux fluctuations. By comparing the MEMS to PIV, it was found that the estimated advection velocity corresponded to the flow near the outer edge of the velocity boundary layer.
