抄録(英) | According to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Level-3 automated driving requires that driver recognizes the surrounding traffic environment and reacts immediately in emergency situations. In this paper, we proposed a system to maintain the arousal level of drivers by using a stimulus with tactile, visual and olfactory. Our study utilized a driving simulator (DS) to simulate automated driving condition on a midnight highway under three different conditions: NO Stimulation (NOS), TActile Stimulation (TAS) and COmbined Stimulation (COS). The result showed that COS of the combined stimulation including tactile, visual, and olfactory stimulus had more arousal effect than any other type of stimulus based on average arousal time and subjective assessment.
