抄録(英) | The antiwear performance of commercial engine oil blended with various non-edible vegetable oils containing castor and jatropha oils is presented in this study. The tribological test was carried out utilizing a four-ball tribometer. The results showed that when compared to other blended oils, the antiwear performance of commercial engine oil blended with 10 vol. % castor and jatropha oils is improved. Non-edible vegetable oil appears to stimulate the formation of a reaction film with antiwear additives in engine oil and accelerate the formation of chemical films. However, a high concentration of non-edible vegetable oil, produces tribochemical wear, reducing antiwear performance. 翻訳 |
