抄録(英) | Alternative fuels become more important for commercial engines. Greenhouse-gas reduction targets are favoring the penetration of CO2-free drives, which draw the attention to hydrogen as a fuel in the last years. Currently more commercial engine manufacturers consider the use of alcohol fuels, especially for non-road applications. All alternative fuels (natural gas, hydrogen, ethanol, methanol) bring their individual development challenges with regards to mixture formation, combustion irregularities, cold start behavior and durability. AVL shows possibilities to adapt existing engine platforms in the best possible way for these fuels, so that maximum similarity with a high efficient diesel concept (e.g.: HVO) is ensured. 翻訳 |
