抄録(英) | Beside fully electric powertrains hybrid powertrains will have an important role to cope with upcoming greenhouse gas and emission limits. The goal of zero carbon operation requires compatibility of IC engines for Ethanol, Methanol and in particular Hydrogen. Increased compression pressure and thermal load, chemical impact on material specifications, nearly oil-free piston-bore interface to avoid preignition, active engine ventilation are requirements on engine subsystems. Focus of the paper is on technology packages required to provide compatibility for hydrogen and alcohol operation in hybrid powertrains, while minimizing investment cost impact within production boundaries of existing engine platforms. 翻訳 |
