抄録(英) | CO2 capture from engine exhaust by using adsorption method (use of Zeolite) was investigated. Real engine exhaust emissions, and representative gas which consisted of only air and CO2, were used as the test gasses. A four-stroke air- cooled gasoline engine with 25 cc of displacement, and 4.65 kg of zeolite 13X, which was contained in a canister with 6.5 L of internal volume, were used to the tests. The results showed that around 90 % of CO2 capture rate at 30 minutes after introducing the repetitive gas, although 64 % of the capture rate at 70 minutes, were achieved. In the engine exhaust gas case, CO2 was also selectively captured by the zeolite even when H2O, CO and THC coexisted with CO2.
