抄録(英) | Although the heat pump is a promising way to meet EV cabin heating demands, a large heat load due to the outside air introduction for anti-fogging increases electricity consumption. Another challenge relating to heat pumps is the interrupted cabin heating due to defrosting operation. In this study, we proposed a heat pump system, in which a desiccant-coated heat exchanger is adopted to dehumidify the inside cabin air. Accordingly, antifogging of the windshield becomes possible via interior-air recirculation. The heat generated by batteries is utilized to remove the frost and heat the cabin continuously.
