抄録(英) | Recently, connected car services have been attracting public attention. These services enable the collection and analysis a large amount of data from various sensors such as equipped in vehicles and transport infrastructures. These mechanisms are premised on high speed and stable wireless communication such as 5G and LTE. However,in environments where public networks are under development, e.g. emerging countries, former generation communication standards such as 2G are still used. This situation restricts the type of services. Suzuki have been developing a communication architecture for a practical use in the collaborative research with NICT. The architecture combines low-speed cellular network communication andhigh-speed vehicle-to-vehicle communication as an efficient information collection method for such environments. In this article, the current progress of the above collaborative research is described.
